ABOUT ME

So let's get to it...

I’m guessing you’re looking for a photographer, right? Either that or you’re just being nosey, which is fine too. But with so many of us photographers out there these days, how on earth do you choose who you work with?

This is the part where I’m meant tell you what makes me different and unique. But really, it's what makes YOU different and unique that matters most...

About You:

You don’t want smiling-to-camera shots, you don’t want to just tick a list. If it’s a wedding you want shooting, then you want every photo to burst with action, feeling and fun. You want all those imperfect in-between moments to be captured with style. If it’s for a family session, you don’t need reams of groups shots, you want hilarious and touching photos which are just as surprising and raw as the family life you live.

What else makes you different? You know those photographers at weddings, the ones that wear scruffy polo shirts covered in their own branding and shout a lot? Yeah, you don’t want one of those *Dry wretch*. You want someone who’s buzzing to work with you and your family/friends, someone who isn’t afraid to get all up in your world and take awesome photos. Someone creative and fun, with a bottomless pit of energy. Because trust me, energy is everything in this job!

If you’re nodding with me, that’s a wicked sign. Let me tell you a bit about me...

About Me:

My name is Gemma, but I'm also known as Wardette. I am an adventure-seeking travel bunny, who lives in the snowy French Alps in the Winter, and travels lots with work during the Summer. I adore anything creative and when I’m not shooting, I am an illustrator and a writer, creating inspiration boards and writing for some of the UKs biggest wedding blogs. I am also the daughter of a particularly awesome photographer, Tony Ward, whom I assisted for years. In a previous life I was also an academic, studying and researching Art History and Visual Culture. I am rarely seen walking anywhere without headphones, and my obsession with music has been a lifelong affliction. I also love bouldering, dogs and cheese.

So let's talk...

If you’re still reading and nodding along, I reckon we should chat. Let’s talk about why you and your family are so deserving of the photographic stories I want to keep telling…

Don't take my word for it though. Hear from some of my clients...

"...What you see is what you get with Gemma. The passion and enjoyment she has for taking photographs of people is pure. You cannot teach or develop that, and her job is definitely her calling.

When choosing a photographer, experience is one thing, and skill is ANOTHER, but personal approach is unique. Gemma brings all of these to the party by the bucketload and her unique approach is her biggest selling point..."
