It didn't matter how hard the wind blew on Saturday, it did nothing to dampen the spirits of the very sweet Ashley and Chloe, who celebrated their wedding at Gaynes Park. Epping. The weather quite literally tried to lift us off our feet, but the laughter and smiles rang louder than the storm.
It was a festive themed wedding, with stunning snow topped pine cones and trees as table centres, with tiny touches of Christmas decorations here and there. The berry colours which sung from the brides bouquet, were reflected in the deep berry of the bridesmaids dresses.
The bride's dress was understated and effortlessly chic, and that back necklace..
that back necklace. It was a touch of glamour and unique detail.
Though we had already captured many smiles and sweet moments during the day, I was keen to catch Ashley and Chloe during the evening, when everything was more relaxed. Away from the festivities of the meal, and the warm glow of candles and low lights, we walked into the darkness of the garden. Far away from the bustle and music, we headed into the fairy-lit pagoda;
it's bare twisting branches growing fairy light spots like rose buds.
The couple just started to embrace and talk underneath the glow, gently swaying from side to side as if they could hear music no-one else could. The only sound to hear, was the odd chuckle and whisper from them, and the sound of my shutter. This series of night-time photos, which are toward the end of the slideshow above, are truly among my favourites- the moment felt filmic and incredibly romantic, and I am so thankful to have captured something of their chemistry here.
Whilst tip-toeing around the scene, the following T S Elliot quote came to mind.. (yes, I really do think like this, my mind is always too busy..)
"...So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing..."
Huge congratulations to the lovely couple. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek, and are looking forward to seeing the rest! Happy honeymoon!
