I love posting and chatting about snow related fun, but this week I thought I'd offer up something warmer. Sunset, Bob Marley, and a dread-locked beaut with a stunning backdrop.. what could get you more excited for Summer?
Living out here in the French Alps, is the perfect way to spend winter. But after missing a week of my blog (something I rarely let myself do) I poked my head up from a mountain of work (pun intended) and took a breather. All the layers of clothing, the gloves, the goggles, hats, bag baggy riding gear.. it's all awesome,
but watching this video made me remember that sunshine warmth and freedom.
Plus, I'm right in the middle of prepping for a super busy wedding season, and getting excited about some of the gorgeous places I'll get to travel to.
Other than a sunshine antidote to our wintry lives right now, this video also means a lot to me. My fella, aka Hobo Chic, is sat up high on Gibraltar rock- the birth place of my mother, and home to some of my favourite family and people. It's an incredible place, which culturally gets lost in it's reputation as a little England. Does it look like one here? I think not...
Adam and I had run around Gib last Summer,
guitar in his hand, camera in mine,
looking for sneaky spots to shoot videos in. Once or twice we got ushered out of run down buildings or verbally abused by old men, but it was brilliant fun. Here, we drove as high as we could up the rock, clambered up on an old gun battery, and sat and filmed with the sun going down. It really was, bloody magic. Never mind the fact that I was filming (therefore not really looking at my footing) with a crazy drop down cliffs to the sea below me, with very little space to move. What was I thinking?!
Sunset though. Bob Marley.. and Sunset.
Thank you for another gorgeous video Hobo Chic.. this one's for Gibraltar.
You absolute beaut.
