The blog takes us to sunnier and rockier climbs this week, to the striking landmark of Gibraltar Rock. The stunning classic wedding of Jordan & Cristina will have you dreaming of lens flare through lace veils and scorching hot sun rays through stained glass windows. make sure to flick through to the couple photos, the Scared Heart church is to die for.

Though known as a British territory, Gibraltar is also full of Mediterranean culture and style. My mother's side of the family all hail from this amazing place, and I jumped at the opportunity to take my cameras out there for a wedding. Here was the problem though.. not only was this a wedding I had to travel many miles to capture, but it was in a setting very special to me, and it was also family. I had to do this justice on so many levels. No pressure then...
It was a dreamy as it sounds, and the pair at the centre of it all, were entirely enchanting with their chemistry.
The little touches which made me feel so at home were subtle but noteworthy;
the sound of the language singing all around me; the smell of sliced Iberico Ham; the ornate lace edging on Cristina's cathedral length veil.
Often my favourite moment at a wedding will be the couple shots, or the father's first look, or even the moment when the ring won't slide on during the vows...But this time, it was the first dance.
Cristina's dress rose and spread out from behind her tiny waist, as Jordan held onto her with his face passed up against hers.
They giggled, they embraced, they literally danced like there was no one there; like the entire wedding party weren't all sighing from behind their iPhones and glasses of champagne, heads dropped to one side. From underneath the glinting fairy lights, they seemed to float together.
Yes, I am an unashamed romantic, but this sort of fairytale can't be staged. You may have all the separate elements, but for it to all gel into something this idyllic, it has to be exactly how you are as a couple.
You guys took my breath away. I was pretty out of breath after a long day with heavy cameras ;) but you still managed it. Sending so much love to all my family over there, and to you both for having me capture your awesome wedding day.
Special mention goes to Jon Segui for his hilarious bestman speech.. I just had to include the bride and groom's cringing faces! Thanks for your help on the day too.
