I don’t really know where to start this week. Not only is this week’s wedding an absolute corker to look at, but this place and these people are all SUPER special to me. I was blown away when these guys asked me to shoot their wedding, but I didn’t realise how emotional it would be…Read More
This week I treat you to more mountain views and snowy settings.. this time with the loveliest and coolest of couples. I’m just so bloody excited to come back here in the Summer for their wedding.. I mean look at them!Read More
With all the snow hitting the UK recently, I thought I’d share some seriously Wintry Wedding Inspiration. This is a Styled Shoot, shot with a real couple, in a hidden break in the trees off my favourite slope. It’s low-fi, with no suppliers, and everything is collected and put together by myself and this session’s bride. This is all about giving zero f*cks for tradition. Yes, get married, have a wedding. I’m not knocking it, after all, I am a wedding photographer. But if you want to runaway, throw on a blue velvet coat, black dress and get your Groom to carry your bouquet of dried flowers through a snowy forest.. DO IT. I’ll come shoot that too…Read More
I’m no good at new years resolutions. (Quite the opener, huh?!) I don’t think about new diets, and I don’t give anything up. But the one thing I always resolve to do, every year now without fail, is this post; the blog post where I force myself to sit down with my work of the past year, and digest. If you fancy sitting with me, grab a cuppa (or a something a bit stronger, mine’s a whiskey) and join me, I could do with the company. I’m not very good at this ;)Read More
This week, Tim & Louise take jet us off to Portugal for their intimate and classy elopement. Set into the woodland and hills of Sintra, on the windiest day I have ever experienced, they said I do with their most treasured friends and family sat behind them. It was a seriously international affair too, so seeing my hometown as a table-name, was all the more exciting! We managed to brave the gale force winds just before the sun dipped behind the trees, and found ourselves a secret walled garden to hide in.. Make sure you flick through to the end to see the photos.. Sigh.
The blog takes us to sunnier and rockier climbs this week, to the striking landmark of Gibraltar Rock. The stunning classic wedding of Jordan & Cristina will have you dreaming of lens flare through lace veils and scorching hot sun rays through stained glass windows. And make sure to flick through to the couple photos, the Scared Heart church is to die for.Read More
This week the blog takes you to the south of Italy, deep into the heart of it's rustic countryside. Endless fields of terracotta soil, peppered with ancient twisting olive trees and wild flowers. Couple that with the smell of garlic and fresh pasta wafting across your wine glass, and you might get close to the atmosphere at Stuart and Claire's wedding. I mean seriously.. this day was as authentic and stylish as they come. Plus, these two are super cool and super sweet.. Wait till you see their sunset shots at the end of this post...Read More
My first ever visit to Edinburgh, and it was this incredibly stylish wedding, during Fringe Festival. It's no wonder I completely fell for the city. This wedding was, in my opinion, one of the sharpest, most stylish weddings I've ever photographed, without a single glaring pinterest reference in sight. And that, my friends, is quite a style feat.Read More
On the blog this week, I take a look back to the stunning wedding day of TV Presenter, Alex Jones to her partner, Charlie Thomson. I shot this wedding for Hello! Magazine (link to article below) over New Years Eve. Set in the gorgeous and iconic Cardiff Castle, BBC 1's 'The One Show' had to give up their golden girl for a few days, whilst she and her now husband, threw the most epic of Welsh celebrations. And look at her, she was the perfect bride.Read More
So this gorgeous couple flew me 4,500 miles (kit and all) to photograph their wedding, in the Middle East. They also (and this still takes my breath away) moved their wedding date to have me.. So... No pressure then. This was, on all levels, my biggest undertaking yet. Wait 'til you scroll down to the desert shots!Read More
This week, Steve and Jen open up my wedding season with their gorgeous Isle of Wight wedding. Set at Northwood House, with a beautiful reception at The Little Gloucester (where Jen also got ready), the island setting was a pleasure to photograph. Just wait 'til you scroll down to the couple shots...
The French Alpine wedding of Si and Helen was an incredible weekend to be a part of. It expressed everything about the couple, and the magic place they call home- Meribel.Read More
